Apron style dresses with intricate bi folding bodice detail were our highlight of last nights Linear Collection launch by Lois Hazel.
Continuing the design aesthetic of intricately frayed edges that we saw on her aptly named ‘Frayed’ presentation earlier in the year as part of the 2015 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival’s Offsite Runway series, Lois stays true to her signature style with this stunning collection.
Simple clean lines, matched back with full (and quite often girly) silhouettes gave this collection the wearability that you look for in a Spring/Summer wardrobe. Each piece could easily be worn with the one hanging next to it, or any in the row across the room, with a neutral colour palette and twin set style dressing becoming apparent. As always, the accessories perfectly complimented the collection, with accordion style necklaces and a chic fringed clutch.
The focus on fabrication and the perfectly cut and finished pieces really stood out with quality being the obvious focus – dreamy picnics and everyday refined ensembles deserve this collection.
See for yourself here.
